Mrs. Bess L. Galloway, 85 of Newtown died Sunday morning in Ben Hur Nursing Home. She was a member of Newtown United Methodist Church Newtown OES, Pythian Sisters and attended Stone Bluff and Pine Village schools. Born in Warren County on June 12, 1891, she was the daughter of Albert and Laura Ratell Gross. She married A.T. Galloway in January 1908. He survives. Also surviving are a son, Carl G of Indianapolis; 3 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, daughter and brother. Graveside services are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Osborn Prairie Cemetery at Stone Bluff. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday in Crumley-Williams Funeral Home at Hillsboro. - kbz
